So things have been as busy as ever at the Mustard Tree. We’ve had a cycling bonanza with around 25 of us hitting Delamere forest (higlight for many was Janet falling in a stream!), some of the Freedom Project-ers had an Enneagram personality profiling workshop kindly delivered by Caleb Storkey of Freedoma, we ‘enjoyed’ an afternoon of football watching England just about beat Algeria, had a good meeting with the City Council around future strategies for reducing the numbers of homeless people sleeping on the streets of Manchester, Jez ran a week long course for young people with issues around offending, they did a great job painting, plastering and preparing the basement and groundfloor toilets. Of course the great soup run teams were out on Holye Street on Friday and Sunday. Below is Jez storming to the finishing line of his recent triathalon, raising over £600 for the Mustard Tree in the process.
This week we have a Northwards housing advisor coming in to start a regular housing advice sessions, Graham Hudson is back from Mexico and painting again upstairs, more ESOL and sewing classes, more soup runs, more food and furniture going out, more bras coming in and who knows what else!
Looking forward to it!
