Following further consideration, the board of Trustees of Mustard Tree have decided to withdraw our offer of the 4 week work placements associated with the Mandatory Work Activity element of the Welfare to Work Programme.

We have deliberated long and hard over this aspect of our work and have tried to keep the best interests of our beneficiaries at the forefront of our decision making. At times opinions have fluctuated as we have sought to navigate through valid stances and legitimate positions on both sides of the argument.

Following a review and a period of reflection, we have come to the conclusion that at this current time the best course of action for Mustard Tree to take; to ensure we do the best possible for the most number of beneficiaries, is to withdraw from our engagement in this programme.
