Rozina*, 22, managed to escape the cycle of homelessness and secure her first tenancy in a flat. However with no savings , a low paid zero-hours contract job as a cleaner she couldn’t buy essential items such as a bed and a fridge, and was worried about making ends meet. Mustard Tree donated the furniture she needed to set up her first home, and while she got settled the Food Club was vital.
Without the Food Club she said “I would struggle financially and turn to crime in order to get food. I like everything about the Food Club and I’m so glad it’s here. In the future I want to try to eat more healthily.”
