We are very sorry to announce that one of our beloved volunteers here at Mustard Tree, Clare Rowson has sadly passed away, after a long period of serious health problems. She was a part of the local group “Friends of Eccles Rec” as well as volunteering for 2 years at Eccles Mustard Tree and well-known and loved in her community.
Peter Askew, who runs our brilliant Mustard Tree shop in Eccles and knew Clare from her volunteering said “Clare was with us from August 2015, became a Volunteer Supervisor and did 1-2 days free per week. In July 2017 Clare left the team to pursue medical treatments and appointments. Her health deteriorated and after many trips in and out of hospital she passed away. She will be sorely missed by the Eccles MT team, the regular customers as well as obviously her family and friends. We are grateful for all she gave to the people of Eccles and to Mustard Tree.”
She was with her family at the time and a group of wider friends and some volunteers who knew her who will be going along to her funeral on Monday 13th November. This will be a great tribute to a sweet lady with a great sense of humour who helped dozens of people and cared about her community, she will be sorely missed.
Her funeral will take place on Monday and flowers from everyone here at Mustard Tree will be laid in tribute.
Please keep her and her family in your thoughts as we all are here at Mustard Tree
