Charity Art Auction

Unseen-Angels-Seen

Come along to Mustard Tree for your chance to bid on and own a beautiful piece of unique artwork, by Graham Hudson.

Graham Hudson is a passionate self-taught visual artist, creating unique pieces from his studio at Mustard Tree (charity combatting poverty and preventing homelessness)  where he found hope after sleeping rough on the streets of Manchester. He now works at Mustard Tree as the Creative Programmes Curator, alongside creating commissions for businesses and individuals.

The Angels, are inspired by photographs of nebulae and galaxies taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, featuring explosions of light and colour, suggestive of celestial beings. Hudson has created these works by loading each canvas with a variety of materials including ink, acrylic and watercolour with subtle layers created using paper and plaster.

Hudson’s professional commissions include creating work for John Lewis, Manchester United and Richard Branson.

All profits from this evening will help people experiencing poverty and hardship to escape darkness and rebuild their lives – to find light and hope at Mustard Tree.

Graham is very poetic. He speaks in onomatopoeic allusions …he buzzes with energy, creativity, life and visions, all of which are expressed in his art.
