Overview
Mustard tree aims to combat poverty and create life transforming opportunities for people who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a new member of the team to support with office administration to service areas. This opportunity is for someone who enjoys supporting others and is passionate about administration, to bring about real development. We need someone who has the compassion to help others, and the commitment to use their skills, to support and create opportunity for those who are vulnerable within greater Manchester.
This role will represent the values of the charity both internally and externally, leading by example and contributing to the overall development of the service.
Role description
- Write workbooks and update training module for Mustard Tree service users and volunteers.
- Manage course waiting list and enrolment process.
Replying to generic information emails and organising postal sorting mail
- Providing assistance with planning and arranging events.
- Draft, format, and print relevant documents
- Maintaining stock levels and placing orders for office supplies as required
- Frequent interaction with service managers, supporting their requests
- Creating meeting agendas and taking minutes
- Photocopying and filing for training and support functions of the service.
- Attending training and activities to offer support to facilitators when requested.
- Responsible for recording and assessment of client progression and learning.
- Updating and monitor student records and attendance work with reception team and Tree salt program.
- Support with data collection ready for submission of monthly KPI’s report by training manager and work to yearly objectives.
- Ensuring that all relevant paperwork is stored according to GDPR guidelines.
- Attend briefing each day to maintain good communication and support healthy staff wellbeing. Escalate safeguarding and incident concerns as required to head of services.
- To understand and have a working knowledge of health and safety requirements of the support services including risk assessments, lone working policy, staff wellbeing and incident management.
General Work duties:
- Support Freedom Volunteers to develop skills and behaviours and feel part of the community
- Work within health & safety guidelines and Mustard Tree policies and procedures
- Supporting other staff and departments and provide practical relief cover for work-streams
- Take responsibility for professional development, attending training courses as required
- Leading by example, embodying Mustard Tree values and represent the charity as required
- Contribute towards being an environmentally responsible organisation as part of day-to-day activities including recycling and supporting ‘paper-lite’ practices
