Volunteering: ESOL Supporting Facilitator

Mustard Tree are looking for volunteers to support our on-site ESOL classes, to help deliver basic language lessons to the Greater Manchester community.

The demand for ESOL classes is growing across Greater Manchester, and Mustard Tree needs volunteers who are happy to support our lessons.

If you are passionate about teaching English or would like experience in planning, delivering and supporting classes, we have the roles for you!

  • Conversation Club is attended by ESOL students looking to practice their English in an informal setting (learning colloquialisms and understanding different dialects). Your role is to maintain a safe space and lead conversations in breakout groups.
  • ESOL classes are more structured -building on lesson plans- teaching from ‘beginner’ to ‘intermediate’. For these, you’d be helping run the sessions and providing one-to-one support in the class.

The class runs every Wednesday morning, from 10am – 1pm.

If you would like to apply, please complete the Mustard Tree Volunteering Application Form, and return it to volunteering@mustardtree.org.uk
